Our board tries to meet once a month to put together fun events for you to connect with the Boston Belgian Society members. Eugenie Riga
Board Member
Eugenie is originally from Wavre and moved to the United States when she was five years old. After spending ten years in Raleigh, North Carolina, she relocated to Boston in 2022 and quickly reconnected with the Belgian community.
Outside of work, she volunteers at a horse rehabilitation center, stays actively involved with BBS, and enjoys traveling. She is passionate about strengthening connections within the Belgian community in Boston and creating welcoming spaces that bring people together.
Maxime Derep
Board Member
Maxime (Max) has been based in Boston since 2022 and works for a Belgian software company helping pharma teams optimize their clinical trial supply chains.
When he’s not thinking about forecasting and planning, you’ll likely find him training for a race, out on his bike, experimenting with photography, or grabbing drinks and meeting new people around the city.
John Watine
Board Member
John is originally from Liège. After living in Shanghai and Shenzhen for over 16 years, he moved to Boston in 2024. He works in the localization industry. Together with Eugénie and Maxime, they decided to revive the Belgian community in Boston and the Greater Boston Area. In his free time, he enjoys cycling.
